London Historic Buildings Trust (LHBT) is looking for a Chief Executive who can be the figurehead for the Trust, working closely with staff and Trustees to maximise project delivery and move LHBT towards long-term financial sustainability. They are a small, dedicated charity working to rescue and restore ‘at risk’ heritage buildings across London, putting them back into community use.
Reporting to the Board, the postholder will:
• Lead and manage the staff team (a senior project manager, project manager and finance officer), providing support and direction to the project managers
• Personally lead on selected heritage and community-led projects • Identify, bid for and secure funding for new projects
• Act as figurehead and ambassador for the Trust, representing LHBT externally
• Work with the Board to develop and oversee a long-term strategy for the organisation
• Identify and develop new, sustainable income streams to reduce reliance on grant funding
• Personally lead on selected heritage and community-led projects • Identify, bid for and secure funding for new projects
